Hello there, I’m Aimilios Yiallouros, the guy on your left. Currently i live in Limassol, a beautiful seaside city in Cyprus. I’m a Communications and Internet Studies graduate. As my next career step, i chose Game Development and Interactive Multimedia! Aand it’s going pretty well at the moment! For sure the right choice! 🙂
1. What three things do you need to be successful in your job?
Belief, if you don’t believe it’s impossible for you to achieve what you want, you can work day and night, but you will never succeed. Being critical, it’s important to take a step back and review your own work. Many years ago, my literature teacher, as my supervisor teacher on a project told me “Details make perfection, and perfection is not a detail.”, a quote from Leonardo Da Vinci. I followed her lead, and my project was by far the best in class. I made this quote a way of life ever since.
2. What are your greatest strengths and weaknesses?
Strengths: Energetic and efficient as i see inefficiency not just as a problem in its own right, but as something that pulls time and energy away from all my future goals. Self-Confident, i trust my abilities. Strong-Willed, i strive to achieve my goals, but really nothing is quite as satisfying to me as rising to the challenge of each obstacle in my run to the finish line.
Weaknesses: Intolerant, sometimes it’s my way or the highway. Impatient, some people need more time to think than others.
3. If you could be any animal on a carousel, what would you be, and why?
A lion. Lions are superior, strong, and naturally dominant, they are also associated with royalty.
4. Who has inspired you in your life and why?
For me, I get most of my sources from two places: the first is life, we only get 1, better live it well! The second source are my friends. I enjoy being with like-minded people sharing common points of intellect, interest, and humor. Of course, I’m an extrovert so this makes sense.
5. Describe for me your most ideal work environment.
My ideal work environment is one where there’s a good sense of team spirit. I enjoy working with people who have a decent sense of humour and who, while they might take their work very seriously, don’t necessarily take themselves overly seriously! As Aristotle Onassis said “Be serious in your work and crazy in your life”.
